こんにちは。ボストンはどんどん冬の気温になってきました。
今日のブログでは、校舎の様子と、以前のブログで完成したらご紹介させていただくと書いていたアカペラ動画をご紹介します。
バークリーは街中に校舎が点在しており、メインの150/160 Mass Ave.の２棟は4階以上が寮になっていて、去年オープンした160には寮生専用のアンサンブルルームやスポーツジムがあります。
噂には聞いていたものの、先日やっと見ることができたので、その写真をご紹介します。

こんにちは。日本は桜がだいぶ咲いているようですね。ボストンにもソメイヨシノではないのですが、似たようなピンク色の花を咲かせる樹がたくさん並んでいる道がありますが、まだ雪が降ったりしているので、花が咲くのはまだ先になりそうです。
さて、先週の月曜から木曜まで、バークリーで第２９回インターナショナルフォークミュージックフェスティバルという毎年恒例のイベントが開催されました。

ボストンはどんどん暖かい日が増えて積もった雪が減っていて、日々地面が見える面積が増えていたり、おもーい雪の重さに耐えていた植物たちが重さから解放された様子が見えて、嬉しくなっています。
バークリー卒業生の植田あゆみさん率いる全米アカペラチャンピオン “ウーマンオブザワールド” が、昨日から４月まで日本ツアーをされています。彼女たちのステージは素晴らしい演奏なのはもちろんですが、私個人としても、みなさんが笑顔になることと、胸躍る楽しい時間となることを保証します。是非、ご覧になってください。

バークリー日本語ブログをご覧の皆さんはじめまして！今回からこちらのブログの担当になりました、中山です。まずは自己紹介をいたします。
中山よしえ、東京出身、Contemporary Writing and Production（以下CWP http://www.berklee.edu/cwp）専攻、主楽器はトロンボーンで、ボーカルも勉強中です。
国立（くにたち）音楽大学音楽教育学科を卒業し、事務職をしながらビッグバンドやアカペラグループの活動をしていましたが、 ジャズやコンテンポラリー音楽の作編曲、ディレクションを学んで仕事にしたいという気持ちから、２０１２年９月にバークリーの受験申込をし、２０１３年２月受験、３月末日合格発表、同年９月に入学し、現在２学期目となります。（現在の国立音楽大学は、豪華な顔ぶれの先生方からジャズも学べるカリキュラムになっています）
自己紹介の一環として、私の人生を変えたと言っても過言ではない、アカペラグループ’VOX ONE’の松岡由美子さんをご紹介します。
